Our commitment
A ReportPoppy report is handed to a client. That client may be reading it on a phone in a car, on a laptop with the text size turned up, with a screen reader, or with motion turned off. The report has to work for all of them, and so does the app the agent builds it in.
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming a formal audit certificate; we are telling you exactly what is in place and what is not, and we fix what you report.
What is in place today
- Keyboard. Every control is reachable and operable by keyboard. A skip link jumps past the header to the content. Focus is never hidden: focus-visible outlines are drawn at a three pixel weight against the page.
- Screen readers. Headings are real headings in order, tables are real tables with header cells, and the sortable comparable-sales columns are real buttons with a stated sort direction rather than clickable text.
- Reduced motion. The landing page's scroll reveals and the deck's smooth scrolling are both switched off for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion. Nothing animates on its own.
- Contrast. Body text, headings and controls meet AA contrast against their backgrounds in both the light and dark report grounds. Colour is never the only carrier of meaning: the map's out-of-criteria homes are a different shape as well as a different colour.
- Text size and zoom. The layout is fluid, and type is set in relative units, so browser zoom to 200 percent does not clip content. Form fields are 16 pixels so iOS does not zoom the page when you tap one.
- Nothing is truncated. No client-facing table ever cuts off a heading or a value. A table wider than the screen scrolls sideways and now shows scroll shadows so it is visibly reachable.
- Print and PDF. The exported report releases the screen's pixel widths so every number lands on one line on paper.
What is still open
We would rather name these than leave you to discover them.
- The map. Drawing a comparable area with a polygon is a pointer gesture. There is no keyboard equivalent yet. Every criterion the map sets can be set instead with the radius and the other fields, and the report is identical.
- The photo rail. It is operable by keyboard and by swipe, but the arrow controls could be larger touch targets on a small phone.
- Uploaded photographs. A photograph an agent uploads carries the address as its alternative text. It cannot describe what is actually in the picture.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of ReportPoppy or a report you received is hard or impossible to use, write to us. Say what you were trying to do, what device and assistive technology you were using, and what happened. We treat access barriers as defects, not requests.
We aim to answer within two business days.
