Why this exists
ReportPoppy runs on licensed MLS data and produces documents that go to consumers under your name and your licence. Both of those carry obligations. This page is the short, plain version of them, and it sits alongside the Terms of Service rather than replacing them.
The data
- Do not scrape, bulk export, resell or redistribute MLS content, and do not feed it into another product or a machine learning system.
- Do not use ReportPoppy to reach data your own MLS membership does not entitle you to.
- Do not strip the sourcing or the timestamps out of a report and present the numbers as something else.
- County assessor facts are public record and carry none of these restrictions.
The client
- Do not alter a report to state a number the evidence does not support.
- Do not present a valuation range as an appraisal, or another agent's listing as your own.
- Do not send a report to solicit a client who is under an exclusive agreement with another brokerage where your MLS rules forbid it.
- Remember that a client link needs no sign-in. Treat it as public once you send it.
The service
- One account is one person. Do not share credentials.
- Do not attempt to reach another agent's account, reports, files or links.
- Do not automate the app in a way that degrades it for other agents, and do not probe it for weaknesses outside the terms of Responsible Disclosure.
- Do not use ReportPoppy to harass anyone or to break the law.
What happens if this is broken
We will tell you what we saw and what we need changed. For anything that puts the MLS licence at risk, or that puts a consumer in front of a document that misstates the evidence, we can suspend an account immediately, and we will say why. Serious breaches are reported to the MLS, because the licence requires it.
